Space exploration becomes more meaningful when people can share what they see, learn and discover.

Space Buddy can include an optional community layer without turning the experience into a conventional video game.

Users can see or meet other participants exploring the same supported areas of the universe. The purpose is education, guided events, discussion and collaborative exploration.

Community presence should be optional. Identity, privacy, reporting, moderation and age appropriate controls must be designed before broad public release.

The news experience can combine:

• primary research and papers
• NASA, ESA, observatory and institutional announcements
• reputable journalism
• mission and launch updates
• community observations and astrophotography
• explainers and CosmosIntelligence research notes

Each item should display its source and content type so users can distinguish scientific evidence from reporting, commentary or community posts.

Users can share astrophotography, research links, questions, observations and discussion. Voting can help surface useful contributions, but ranking should not hide provenance or reward sensational claims over evidence.

Space Buddy can surface eclipses, conjunctions, meteor showers, visible planets, mission events and other sky activity.

Where reliable data exists and the user permits approximate or precise location, the system can also surface nearby stargazing events or observing opportunities.

Recommendations can use declared interests, previous conversations and visit history. Users should be able to control what is remembered and what notifications they receive.
