How is Space Buddy different from NASA Eyes?

NASA Eyes is a NASA visualization product. Space Buddy can embed or link to documented Eyes experiences, then add conversational navigation, explanations, memory, data connections and pathways to research or citizen science.

Is Space Buddy a NASA product?

No. CosmosIntelligence and Space Buddy are independent projects. Public NASA resources may be used according to applicable rules, but that does not mean NASA sponsors or endorses the project.

Which NASA resources are being evaluated?

Resources include NASA Eyes, Solar System Treks, NASA 3D Resources, Spacecraft AR, ClipperAR, First Woman, selected Chandra XR experiences, NASA Home and City, NASA Exoplanet Watch, JPL Horizons and the NASA Exoplanet Archive.

Will Space Buddy show the real sky above me?

The product requirements include an accurate sky view based on a user selected or consented location, date and time. Location controls should allow privacy preserving alternatives such as manual city selection.

Can I explore the sky from the Moon or Mars?

Adaptive planetary viewpoints are part of the product requirements for supported bodies and datasets.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Can I travel through the Universe?

Free roam navigation is part of the product direction. Speed controls should make movement understandable across human, planetary, stellar and larger scales.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Does Space Buddy support voice?

The product requirements include two way audio, spoken explanations and synchronized captions using the same source grounded AI path as text.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Will there be multiplayer or a community universe?

An optional shared universe is planned as a later capability. It must remain focused on education, exploration and collaboration and will require moderation, privacy and safety systems.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Will there be space news and community posts?

The product plan includes a source aware news and community hub where people can share astrophotography, research, observations and discussions. Content types should be clearly labeled.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Will Space Buddy support VR and AR?

Yes, the product plan includes VR, AR and WebXR. Core educational content must remain available without XR hardware.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Can Space Buddy support citizen science?

Yes. A central goal is to help users move from curiosity into real participation by handing them into official citizen science programs such as NASA Exoplanet Watch when appropriate.

CosmosIntelligence / Research + product

Is CosmosIntelligence claiming the Universe is conscious?

No. CosmosIntelligence studies network structure, information patterns and consciousness as research questions. It does not present universal consciousness as an established scientific fact.

Why compare the cosmic web with brains?

Published research has found quantitative similarities in selected network measures between neuronal systems and the cosmic web. The comparison is a starting point for measurable research, not proof that the Universe is a brain.

What does “the sky is not empty” mean?

NASA has reported from Hubble based research that the abundance of galaxies is so great that, in principle, every patch of sky contains part of a galaxy. Much of the light is simply too faint, distant or shifted outside human vision.
